Mattéo Castiello started his thesis at the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées (INSA) in Toulouse within the Toulouse Biotechnology Institute (TBI) in october 2019. He will study the strategies for obtaining polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHAs) with controlled properties and in particular P(3HB-co-3HV) with a high HV content by selected microbial consortia in continuous cultures. His work will therefore mainly focus on task 1 with strong interactions with task 2.

Mattéo is an engineer in biochemical engineering who graduated from INSA in 2019. He has already had professional experience in biotechnologies: during his end-of-study internship in the R&D laboratory at Lallemand Health Solutions and during his previous internship at Bio Springer (Lesaffre Group).
