Exactly one year after the kick-off meeting of the project, all the partners met again for a day and a half of interdisciplinary scientific exchanges. This time, in the context of Covid19 and lock-down, the meeting was virtual but just as rich and interesting.
The partners of the LOOP4PACK project are pleased to announce that the D4.3 deliverable, “Cartography of characteristics needed for new packagings”, is finished and has been sent to all partners on the 12/06/2020. Fanny Allayaud joined the LOOP4PACK project in January 2020. She is in charge of task 2 concerning the extraction and purification of PHA produced in task 1. We welcome her in the team! The kick-off meeting of the project took place on November 18, 2019 in Leuze, Hainaut, on the Lutosa site of Mc Cain in the presence of all the partners.
Coline Perdrier started her PhD at the University of Montpellier within the IATE Joint Research Unit (Ingénierie des Agropolymères et Technologies Emergentes) in november 2019. Mattéo Castiello started his thesis at the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées (INSA) in Toulouse within the Toulouse Biotechnology Institute (TBI) in october 2019. He will study the strategies for obtaining polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHAs) with controlled properties and in particular P(3HB-co-3HV) with a high HV content by selected microbial consortia in continuous cultures.
